A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR A PICNIC

We take the easy approach to picnicing. Go pick up a pizza and a few drinks and you're done. (picture date 3/8/09)

Mac and Maggie have beautiful blue eyes like their daddy. Notice that one of his eyes is smaller than the other? Maggie was the same way when she was little. Brett doesn't like me to point that out but I think it's cute.

It's funny to think that one week prior to this picture, the ground was covered with snow.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR

On this day, Maggie turned two and a half. It was also a big day for Mac. This was his first time to ever wear short sleeves! Yep, that's right. I am a freak about my children being cold, especially when they are babies. (picture date 3/7/09)

SNOW IN ALABAMA

Friday-tornadoes, Saturday-floods, Sunday-snow! We went from 70 degree weather to 30 degrees with snow within two days. Maggie woke up and said, "It's snowing...like on Caiilou!" Brett got out and played a little, if you call throwing snowballs at the house and breaking my wind chimes playing. Mag and I stayed out for about 3 minutes until we decided that it was beautiful to look at but too cold for us. Some say I cheated her. In my opinion, the only thing I cheated her out of was pneumonia. If she had really wanted to stay out, I would have let her but, she didn't. She said it was too cold. (picture date 3/1/09)

I love this picture. A little bluebird, the traditional sign of Spring is weathering the harsh elements. He's probably saying, "What the heck??? I flew all the way down South for this?!"

I sent several pictures in to our local television station because they were airing them on our non-stop "snow coverage." I included this one because it showed the accumulation well. Out of the cute pics of Maggie, they picked this one! What's up with that?

"Ok, it's not funny anymore. Let us in."

He is such a happy, little fellow. He just laughs and does huge smiles all of the time. He loves to laugh at his big sister too.
