DYING AND HIDING EGGS

We put one of Brett's t-shirts on her in case of a few spills. If you think about it, this whole hiding eggs thing is a pretty strange concept. Mag just went with the flow as if to say, "I'll look for colored eggs scattered about the yard and then put them in a basket if that's what you really want me to do." (picture date 3/22/08)

Her favorite thing to do was to crack the eggs on the floor and then peel off the shell.

THE BARNYARD

Maggie and I went to "The Barnyard" with Aunt DeJuana, Hayden, Presley and a couple of other friends. It was strange for her to see all of the animals in person and not in a book. Her favorite was the huge turkey that hollared everytime you walked by him. Mag would go to his cage and "gobble" right back at him. Not any different from our church picnic, she carried a graham cracker around for much of this trip. (picture date 3/21/08)

Yeah for Maggie! She wasn't sure about this at first but after we petted and talked to Whiskey the pony for a few minutes she took a little ride.

CHURCH EASTER PICNIC

Maggie had such a good time at our church Easter picnic. You may notice a cookie in most of the pictures. That is because she carried it around with her all day. (picture date 3/15/08)

SPRING FEVER

Mag and I started with our Spring decorations yesterday. We have much more to do today. Mag thought her little Easter tree from Grandmother was pretty neat. We only had one casualty. One bunny lost an ear. Also, in case you noticed her color coordination, that was accidental. (picture date 2/19/08)

MY LITTLE PUNK ROCKER

DeJuana kept Maggie for me Monday. When I picked her up, Hayden had used Vaseline to give her a mohawk. It has taken two baths to get all the goo out of her hair. (picture date 2/18/08)

LOOK WHAT HAPPENS WHEN BAPAW FEEDS MAGGIE!

Bapaw tried his hand at feeding Maggie B her spaghetti. That was probably the most fun she'd had at a meal. They both just sat there and laughed at each other. It did require a little more clean up than normal though. (picture date 2/9/08)

WOODSTOCK IS ON THE WAY

In case you haven't heard yet...little Miss Maggie B is going to be a big sister! Yep, as Brett keeps telling everyone, #2 is coming and people keep telling him to go to the restroom. We couldn't have planned it better if we tried. Maggie and this little one should be almost exactly two years apart. Mag's will be two on September 7th and this one is due to arrive on the 23rd. I'll give you the background of where the name came from. When I was pregnant with Mag, we called her Snoopy, not sure why, but we did. A few weeks ago, Harrison came up to me after church and asked, "what's the little, yellow bird's name on Charlie Brown?" I answered, "Woodstock" and off he went. He went straight to Brett and said "This baby is Woodcock," to which Brett replied..."Excuse Me?" After everything was explained, Woodstock lived on. (2/7/08)

SNOW STORM...NOT QUITE

For a moment today, I was a little embarrassed to be a southerner. We barely had any accumulation down here and our news interrupted regularly scheduled programming to show full snow footage. The local hardware store completely sold out of sleds yesterday. First of all, what are the planning to sled on...the grass? Secondly, why on earth would our hardware store carry sleds? Brett and I just watched the news and said, "bless their hearts." It was some good comedy though. (picture date 1/19/08)

DANCING QUEEN

Footloose is a classic and is suitable for children of all ages. It appears to take her a moment to realize that she can dance using her arms and legs simultaneously.

ALEXIS, SHANE, SAGE, AND ??? VISIT

Yep...she's pregnant! There's no name picked out yet but it's another boy. I'm really excited because I wanted Sage to have a brother.

They got to come home at Christmas for a nice, long visit. We were able to spend a good bit of time together and really had a ball ringing in the new year. (picture date 12/27/07)

Maggie is passing on her musical expertise to Sage on her little piano. After all, she's got 16 months of study under her belt.

CHRISTMAS 2007

This Christmas season was wonderful but exhausting. We had numerous plays, concerts, banquets, dinners, and parties. Brett and I would try to schedule one night a week to just stay at home. It is the most wonderful time of the year but I think we're still recuperating.

Things were a little strange though. This is the first year ever that Danny and his family weren't able to be here. We have really been fortunate though. He has been in the service for eighteen years and this is his first year to miss. It just didn't seem quite the same. However, there was a slight package mix up on Christmas day so we probably talked to them almost as much as if they would have been here. I won't go into details as not to embarrass Danny...I mean...anyone.

Unfortunately, I got sick and was at MedCenter for over two hours on Christmas Eve and on the couch all day Christmas because the medicine that they gave me was too strong and threw me for a loop. I still had a ball watching miss Mag discover all of the magic that Christmas offers. By magic, I pretty much mean dancing and shaking her booty. She'll understand more next year but this stage that she's in is just so much fun.

Brett and I found that doing Christmas the "Ramsey" way wasn't as bad as we had expected. We had less to work with but were able to give more. That's more important than all the decorations and presents in the world... helping others in need. Hopefully, by next year, we'll be in a position to do much more.

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM LAS VEGAS

After church Sunday night, people of all ages were lined up to see Santa. Our pastor's wife even got in on the action! Everyone got a big kick out of it...well, except for Mag, obviously.
