It's a good thing that Chucky is not allergic to children. Hehe. Don't stroke or call DHR. Chuck was promtly removed after this pic was taken. (picture 1/6/09)

She is wearing my old Snoopy shirt and Mrs. Potato Head's glasses. (picture date 1/3/09)

MISSION ORGANIZATION

We are starting the year off right by completely cleaning out. It's ridiculous how much stuff our children have. (picture date New Year's Day)

Give me a little time and I can work wonders.

It looks like a "Where's Waldo" picture.
Tada

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAYDEN AND HAPPY 2009, EVERYONE!

Hayden had a boy/girl, birthday/New Year's Eve party. This party had everything from dancing to fireworks. We hung in with the youngins and welcomed in the new year. (picture date New Year's Eve 2008)

Granpaw is dancing under the disco light.

DeJuana is rethinking having 20 plus squealing 11 years spend the night. Don't worry folks, it's only Welch's.

She just gave in and joined me and Tonya.

"Do, Do, Do, the 'lectric slide."

me and the birthday girl

She loves playing on this. She has some very strong ab muscles. She would say, "I wanna do dips."

"That was fun!"

"Is that chocolate that I see?"

"Now, that's what I'm talking about!"

Hehehe. I'm wired for the night.

MISC. PICS FROM DECEMBER 2008

Brett bought this pitiful little suit when I was pregnant with Maggie. The poor little man was so embarrassed that he had to wear it to church.

Poor Chucky. Harrison and Hayden were wondering how she got that hanger around his neck. She said, "Like this", as she took both hands and wopped him slap on the head.

That's my girl!!! After one of our concerts, Maggie went on stage, grabbed the mic, tapped it, and said, "Turn it on." She then proceeded to sing, "We Three Kings." I hadn't thought about it but someone pointed out to me that most children don't pick that song to sing because it's in a minor key. She's got an incredible ear. The day after Thanksgiving, 96.5 goes to non-stop Christmas music. Of course, I don't allow anyone to change the station until the day after Christmas. She and I sang the whole season. Some of her favs were, "The Charlie Brown" song, "Jingle Bell Rock", "The Polar Express" song. Whenever that one came on, she would want me to hold her hand, just like they do in the movie. At the end, she jumps to harmony! I love it!

Brett can seriously sleep through anything.

CHRISTMAS EVE

Mac and Maggie wore their Christmas pj's to church. Here, Hayden is trying to help him walk the aisle, so to speak. He's really advanced! It was nice having both of our families there, even though my songs were interrupted by a tornado warning. There was a very special occurrence during our "hunker down" time in the basement. One of the men in our church told the Christmas Story. Mom was holding Maggie and she was so focused in on what he was saying. He told the entire story while looking straight into her eyes. It was as if he was focused in on this little child absorbing the the magnitude of that incredible event. Maggie looked at Grandmother and said, "That's just like on Charlie Brown." Is case you don't remember, Linus tries to explain it to him. "That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown." Thanks, John. (Christmas Eve 2008)

Papa, Granna, Uncle Chad, and Aunt Jessica all come to our house for Christmas Eve dinner. Mac had had a long day.

He is still asleep when we get to mom and daddy's.

I know that this picture is a bit distorted but I find it hilarious. Harrison is trying to corral everyone, Hayden's trying to hold Maggie down, Robby is beating his head because this became such an ordeal. Veronica's laughing at the situation, Maggie is just being Maggie, and Mac is zonked.

We got everyone settled down enough for Uncle David to talk about the true meaning of Christmas. He asked if everyone new why we exchange presents. Robby said, "Because God gave the most precious gift that He had, His son."

Just like every year in the past, Grandpa can't follow directions and opens his presents before he's supposed to. He's just like my Grandmother, in more ways than one.

Me and my boy.

Rob and Uncle Brett

"Cheers!"

Robby and Veronica gave Maggie Minnie Mouse ears and a tutu. Uncle David is pretending to be Karate Kid.

DeJuana is digging in.

Robby is in his "burrow."

Uncle Danny looks like he's dreading the clean up and assembly portion of the evening.

Mom is sporting her new Elvis pj's.

And he's still out. Poor little fellow, he missed it all.

CHRISTMAS MORNING

These are Mac and Maggie's stacks from Santa. Santa was on "Ramsey" this year. Besides, he knew that everyone else would buy them way too much and the kids wouldn't notice anyway. (Christmas Day 2008)

Daddy is trying to figure out how to work one of Maggie's toys.

Me and my baby boy. You can see that he's sucking his thumb now.

Mag and Brett are checking out what was in her stocking.

Maggie is trying out Veronica's uggs. Someone, please tell me how to spell Ugg.

CHRISTMAS NIGHT

She loves holding his hand.
