38 weeks.

Brett was on vacation the week before Christmas. On the morning of Mag's first Christmas program, we took Maggie to school & also let Mac stay. It was his second time to attend. He stayed one other time when my mom threw out her back & I had to work. Anyway, Brett & I went to breakfast at Cracker Barrell & was seated next to George Foreman! What a hoot! He had several of his sons with him & introduced them to someone. He said, "That's George, that's George, that's George, & that's George."

This was Maggie's second year to be in the Christmas program at her school. Last year, she picked her nose the whole time. This year, she sang every word and did every motion. One of her teachers, Miss Michelle had been telling me that Mag was definitely her little singer.

Mac had a great day at school.

I tried to get a picture of Brett, Chad, their kids but it didn't work too well.

Maggie is helping Daddy cook. They made brownies for all of her and Mac's teachers at church.

Daddy & Maggie built a gingerbread house.

The finished product.

"Pancakes & Pajamas!" All the kids wore their pj's, ate pancakes (obviously), and watched a movie.

Mac crashed during choir practice. He is the sweetest little love bug. He didn't even make a peep, just went straight to sleep on Jamie's shoulder.

Mag & Laura are watching the new Veggie Tales Christmas movie.

Our Christmas card pic.

We got an elf! Hermie the Elf came to stay with us during December. Maggie had said that she wanted an elf named Hermie, from "Misfits," of course. When we went to see Santa, I relayed that message. When Hermie arrived, Brett said, "Hey, that's cool. You asked for an elf named Hermie." She said, "Yeah, but I also asked for a girl." Hermie also brought a letter that told a little about himself & wanted Maggie to be sure & remember the true meaning of Christmas. He also told her that her parents were awesome! Thank goodness, Hermie was a mild-mannered elf & didn't make big messes. He mainly liked to climb to high places.

This was the first year that Mag was old enough to be in the Children's Christmas program at church. She was an angel. She was nervous about it so Brett bribed her. Yep, bribed her. If she did as she was told, by her teacher, than we'd get a holiday doughnut from Krispy Kreme. She made it about halfway through before she came off the stage. She walked up to Brett & said, "I want my doughnut now." Brett told her that she couldn't have one b/c she didn't finish the program. She said, "(sigh), Okay." Then she walked back on stage and did the rest.

Maggie, Claire, Mary Randall, & Mary Blake are pretending to be angels.

Daddy caught the falling set, twice.

At the mall, writing a letter to Santa. I love the little booty crack showing.

Maggie is decorating some cards that we sent to the soldiers in Iraq. This year, Maggie & Mac sent cards as well as our Sunday School kids.

Little Punky Brewster.

The kids, Brett, Hayden, & I went to help Grandmother & Grandpaw decorate.

Maggie & I are headed out to watch The Academy of Ballet & Jazz' "Holiday Spectacular" at the Bama Theatre.
