STARTING OUT EARLY

My grandmother would be so happy to know that Maggie is practicing on her piano. (picture date 10/22/07)

Please take "note" of the page turn in this video. It is 17 seconds in. I love how she does it without missing a "beat." Wow, I'm just full of them!

ROLL TIDE

Whew! That game was too close!
(picture date 10/13/07)

I couldn't decide which picture to use so I chose both. The close-up is great but her little legs are just too cute in this one.

YES, SHE WORE THE SAME CLOTHES TWO DAYS IN A ROW

Hey, when you change clothes six times a day for 10 months because of puke...you are delighted to have her wear the same thing twice! (picture date 10/12/07)

MAG AND THE "PUNKIN" MAN

Maggie loves to go "side" and visit with her "punkin" man, Jack. She's gotten where she tries to sit on the real pumpkin. (picture date 10/11/07)
This one is for David. I knew he would appreciate the artistry of the sunlight.

Her little face looks so angelic. She must be thinking about her sweet mommy.

It looks like she can't keep a straight face for the camera.

Isn't she wearing cute sheeews?

I love catching her in mid-stride. She looks like a girl on a mission.

Maggie loves to walk over and visit with our neighbor's puppies.

They seem to enjoy it as well.

NOT OVERLY, BUT VERY PROTECTIVE MAMA

I know some will make fun of me, i.e., my obnoxious brothers, but Maggie has had enough ears infections to do us for a while. (picture date 10/11/07)

She loves making silly faces and snorting in the process.

Every now and then there is a moment that Maggie looks just like one of my daddy's baby pictures. I was finally able to capture one on camera.

Maggie and Chuck are taking a little walk together.

LITTLE CUTIES FROM MAG

-Yesterday, mom and Mag were taking a little walk. It's finally turning into fall now in Alabama so the wind was whistling. Mom told Mag to listen to the wind. Suddenly, all the leaves started to fall. Maggie's eyes got big and she started saying, "Uh-oh, Uh-oh." How precious is that? Who else, but a little child, would have thought of leaves falling as being an accident.
-Also, as soon as Brett turns on a football game, Mag says, "ball." Then every time someone gets tackled, that also merits an "Uh-oh."
-Mag and I have been learning sign language from Sesame Street. I try to sign words as much as possible when I am teaching her things. Yesterday, we were looking in a book and there was a picture of a book. I pointed and asked her what it was and she immediately started signing the sign for book. Yes, my child's a genius! She must take after me! What...you don't agree?

COULD HER SMILE BE ANY BRIGHTER?

(picture date 10/6/07)

MAGGIE'S FIRST PEP RALLY

Hayden's school had a Fall Festival and Pep Rally last week. Maggie was totally engrossed in the cheerleader's performance. Do you think that there is any chance of her cheering one day? Duh? (picture date 10/4/07)

Hayden let Maggie try cotton candy for the first time. She loved it! I wonder where she gets that from. We brought some home and Brett found it and said "OOOH, cotton candy...is it for me?"

This is Harrison and Rachel. She is one of the sweetest girls I know.

It started raining that night. That's why Hayden's hair doesn't look too great. She was also covered in mud and had her face painted but it got all smeared.

"It's time to go now. Thanks for helping me to the car, guys."

"Trying to keep up with the big kids is exhausting."

MAGGIE-ISMS

-Favorite thing to watch, even though Brett complains everytime....."The Wiggles!" Don't let him fool you though. He does a humdinger impression of Captain Feathersword! On the way back from Oklahoma, about an hour out, she'd had enough. Brett, Harrison, Hayden, and I were all hanging over the carseat singing "Toot-Toot, Chuga-Chuga, Big Red Car."
-On the way OK, she saluted every flag that she saw along the way, even bumper stickers. She would start throwing her hand up by her ear and we would all start looking for the flag. My Uncle Paul was in the military and has several Washington D.C. prints that have a flag located somewhere in them. Poor Mag would just turn circles in their living room while saluting, not knowing that she had already gotten them all.
-When she wants to go outside, she says "side?"
-Anything circular is a ball and if she like the color, it's "pretty ball." We also have "pretty, pretty, pretty flowers" in the front yard with "pretty, pretty, pretty butterbys" living in them.
-Her daddy has taught her "chick, chicka-chickahh."
