This opening separates the kitchen & living room. My Bethlehem Lights garland from QVC has lasted me for years. However, this year, not so much. I just pretend that they are showing in the room that I'm not in at the time as if they got twisted. When we did animal rescue, this space was a fav for the cats to perch. Some liked to jump off that sucker. If you weren't prepared, it could really startle you when I cat would fly over your head.
