James Mac Shewmake was born Thursday, September 25th at 3:51 PM. It was so much easier the second time around. I was induced at 8:00, starting pushing at 3:45 PM and he was born at 3:51 PM. Who says boys aren't easier than girls? This little guy was named after many great men. James is Brett's daddy and brother's name. With my maiden name being McDaniel, my daddy has always been called Mac, as was his father. Also, my other Grandfather had the last name McElroy and so he is the third Mac in the bunch. Our little man not only has big shoes to fill but many pair. (picture date 8/25/08)

Maggie was in and out of the hospital room all day. I was wearing the little rubber deal on my finger so they could monitor my heart rate. Maggie walked in for the first time and said, "Wow...Mommy, are you going to do a puppet show?" There is an episode of Caiilou where he uses finger puppets. She's very observant. Aunt DeJuana, Harrison, and Hayden went out and found some finger puppets and brought to her. They are the best.

MORE FROM MAG
-I told Maggie that Friday was Share Day at her school. I asked her what she'd like to take with her to show her friends. She got bright-eyed and said, "I wanna take Jake!" (8/28/08)
-Now, my belly buttom is not pertruding but is no way like it used to be. I was laying on the couch and Mag walked up and said, "What's that?" I told her that she knew that was my belly buttom. She replied, "Oh no...it fell down!" (8/30/08)
-The other day, we asked her if she was hungry. She replied, "No, I had a full lunch."
-I have to sing to her almost all in time in the car. Believe it or not, sometimes I get a little tired of it. Anytime I ask Brett to tag in, he gets a few notes out and it's, "Mommy...help!"
-I was reading the bible and Mag walked up and said, "Mommy, you reading the bible? That's a wat of words."
-Brett asked Maggie if she had pooped and she said, "I sure did!" (9/7/08)
-Mag got on the phone and pretended to call Harrison. She said, "Hey Harrison, what are you doing? I did a big poopy. It was oohwie, goowie." (9/2/08)
-We went to pick up Harrison the day before Mag's birthday. He got in the car and Maggie said, "Harrison, you going to say happy birthday?" (9/6/08)

MAGGIE'S 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY
Maggie's 2nd birthday party was a little woodland forest filled with butterflies and fairies. I wish that all of the decor showed up better in the pictures. There were little butterfiles scattered everywhere. Contrary to what some may say, we didn't go all out because Mag had almost all of this in her room already and I do think that she enjoyed it.
