THE PLEDGE
She learned the pledge a few months ago but she surprised me today by just blurting it out. I didn't know that she was so confident with it now. I tell you what, her school is wonderful. (video date 2/12/09)
"WOMANIZER"
Not to worry, she only sings Britney's songs. She doesn't copy her behavior. She knows more words than this but as you can tell, she's all done. (video date 2/12/09)

MY VIDEO FUNCTION IS FINALLY WORKING AGAIN!
Maggie just loves Taylor Swift songs. Here she is singing "Love Story." She is being a little timid here but usually she belts it out. She had a few distractions though. Hayden and I were both watching her, Chucky was wondering around, the "Love Story" video was on the computer, and I had that blasted camera stuck in her face. However, I am so amazed at how well she matches pitches. (video date 2/8/09)
WORKING ON VALENTINE'S CARDS
MAG AND DOLPHIN
Maggie has started something that I thought would take her forever. She's going to sleep by herself! Yes, she's still in our bed but this is a huge start. She cracks us up though. She either sleeps with Bear or Dolphin. We will tuck them in and tell her goodnight. As soon as we get in the livingroom, she's calling us asking for a drink. Of course, she can totally make that last. Then, she calls us again because Bear or Dolphin have gotten out from under the covers and need tucking back in again. It's really hard to keep a straight with her. (picture date 2/3/09)

MISSION ORGANIZATION
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAYDEN AND HAPPY 2009, EVERYONE!

That's my girl!!! After one of our concerts, Maggie went on stage, grabbed the mic, tapped it, and said, "Turn it on." She then proceeded to sing, "We Three Kings." I hadn't thought about it but someone pointed out to me that most children don't pick that song to sing because it's in a minor key. She's got an incredible ear. The day after Thanksgiving, 96.5 goes to non-stop Christmas music. Of course, I don't allow anyone to change the station until the day after Christmas. She and I sang the whole season. Some of her favs were, "The Charlie Brown" song, "Jingle Bell Rock", "The Polar Express" song. Whenever that one came on, she would want me to hold her hand, just like they do in the movie. At the end, she jumps to harmony! I love it!
CHRISTMAS EVE

Mac and Maggie wore their Christmas pj's to church. Here, Hayden is trying to help him walk the aisle, so to speak. He's really advanced! It was nice having both of our families there, even though my songs were interrupted by a tornado warning. There was a very special occurrence during our "hunker down" time in the basement. One of the men in our church told the Christmas Story. Mom was holding Maggie and she was so focused in on what he was saying. He told the entire story while looking straight into her eyes. It was as if he was focused in on this little child absorbing the the magnitude of that incredible event. Maggie looked at Grandmother and said, "That's just like on Charlie Brown." Is case you don't remember, Linus tries to explain it to him. "That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown." Thanks, John. (Christmas Eve 2008)
